Play a Findlay Course

My grandfather played 2450 golf courses in his life, mostly here in the United States. He would have played more, but when he set foot on U.S. soil he found there were no golf courses to play. So in his 76 years he designed and built along with his son and his brothers over 500 courses. He played everyone one! Some of our readers have indicated that they too would like to play an AHF golf course. I just finished a little tour to the south and had a wonderful opportunity to play The Breakers at Palm Beach, the first golf course in Florida. Tim Collins, the director of golf and a PGA pro joined my wife and myself. His insight into the course was outstanding. Dr. Gary Wiren from the Trump International Club joined us for lunch at the Breakers as well. I could talk to Dr. Wiren for hours on end, what a wealth of knowledge on the game and the history of the game. This summer I am planning on a swing through New England and attempting to play as many of my grandfather’s courses that I can physically do in two weeks, as well as giving talks and learning about New England Golf.

I would like to hear from you on playing an Alexander H. Findlay course. I am preparing to include a tab on this web site that will allow everyone to comment on their favorite Findlay course. Why not mix it up a little, let's include all Fred Findlay designed courses as well. How many courses have you played?
