I have had the privilege of playing golf for over 60 years and during those years have played many of the finer courses in this and other countries throughout the planet. But I must admit I have not had the opportunity of playing ALL of my grandfathers courses nor those of his brother Fred Findlay. This year I am endeavoring to swing through New England and attempting to give lectures on Alex and also play as many of his tracks as I can. I will be accomponied by my wife of 41 years, who is also an outstanding golfer. Not only that she is also Scottish coming from the Morris clan, you know, old Tom and gang. I am installing a new tab on this web site to give you some input into playing the old Findlay courses. I will also put together a list of my best holes. I also hope you will be able to locate a Findlay course near you and hit those links. If you wouldn't mind please give us your input into playing one of his courses.
The process of getting Alex and Fred inducted into the Golf Hall of Fame, depends much on you and your support. I think having a course designed by Alexander H. Findlay, Father of American Golf, will go a long way in building up the history of Golf in America as well as promoting and maintaining these priceless old golf courses.
